Mrs. ELMO RATLIFF  
 
Age:  79 

Elmo Ratliff was born in Pike County Kentucky, the daughter 
of the late Ford M. and Odessie Kennard Spears. At the age of 79, 
she left this world at 10:20 A.M. Wednesday July 26, 2006 in St. John, 
Indiana. Elmo was a member of the D.A.V. womens auxiliary and the 
Boldman Freewill Baptist Church. She had worked at K-Mart in the 
garden center , where she retired. Elmo had a step son, Elster P. 
Ratliff Jr., along with three brothers: Tolbert Spears, Douglas Spears, 
and Buell Spears who also preceeded her in death. Her survivors include: 

four sons- Thomas Ford Ratliff of Dyer, Indiana 

Buell Stanley Ratliff and his wife Sandra of Hammond, Ind. 

Carl Bryant Ratliff of Manhattan, Kansas 

Tolbert Douglas Ratliff and his wife Dana of Jamboree, Ky. 

one daughter-Judith Ann Mazur and her husband Greg of St. John, Ind. 

Three step daughters-Jeannene Boone and her husband Jerry of 
north carolina 

Shirley Townsend of Melbourn, Florida 

Bonita Reynolds of Melbourn, Florida 

one sister-Kathelene Leslie and her husband Victor of Tittasville, Florida 

fourteeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

The Pallbearers will be; 

Charles S. Palm Jr., Timothy Ratliff, Charles Ratliff, Jacob Ratliff, Brandon Ratliff, 
Alex Ratliff, and Edward Ratliff. 


IN LIEU OF FLOWERS MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE 
HOSPICE OF YOUR CHOICE
 
Visitation:  The visitation will be at the Boldman Freewill Baptist Church from 2:00 PM 
untill 9:00 PM Monday with evening services at 7:00 PM.  

Funeral Service:  The fneral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church, 
with Arnold Belmont Johnson officiating.  

Interment:  The burial will follow in the Ratliff-Steele Cemetery at Coal Run Village.
