He was retired from Chrysler Motors and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on November 29, 1941 the son of the late Ballard and Myrtle Carter Slone. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ballard Slone, Jr.; Donald Slone and Walter Slone and two sisters, Shirley Slone and Betty Tackett. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Moore Slone and one son, Kent Johnson and his wife, Missy of Hickory, North Carolina and five daughters, Tracy Slone Smith and her husband, Jerry Smith of Lexington, Ky.; Tara Slone Fraeyman and her husband, Kevin Fraeyman of Novi, Michigan; Kim Perry of Frankfort, KY.; Kitty Hamilton and her husband, Tandy of McDowell, Ky.; and Wendi Martin of Ivel, Ky. Three brothers, Charles Slone and his wife, Helen of Virgie, Ky.; Ronald Slone and his wife, Phyllis of Cleveland, TN; and George Slone and his wife, Sue of Pikeville, KY and four sisters, Madeline "Madge" Adkins of Pikeville, Ky.; Irene Edwards of Riverview, Michigan; Geraldine Phillips of Daytona Beach, Florida and Billie McCoy and her husband, Trigger of Pikeville, KY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Whittney Gibson, McKenzie Perry, Nicole Johnson, Tanner Hamilton, Hailey Hamilton, Katie Johnson, Sophia Smith, C.J. Smith and Miranda Fraeyman. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 27, 2007 with Danny Hess officiating.
