Obits: Thompson, Thaddeus "Dwight" Pike County, Kentucky Sept 2006 Submitted by ; Diane Montgomery Parsons http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00001.html#0000062 ********************************************************************* 1947 - 2006 Thaddeus "Dwight" Thompson went home to be with his Lord at the young age of 58 on August 30, 2006 due to a tragic accident. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Dwight was born in Pikeville, KY on October 18, 1947. In the early 80's Dwight was owner and operator of Susie Furniture in North Lewisburg (OH). Dwight was a member of the Mechanicsburg Masonic Lodge 113 Free and Accepted Masons formerly Blazing Star 268, the Elks 51, Eagles 397, the Moose 1319 of Sarasota, Florida and the Union Club of Springfield. For more than eight years he served on the North Lewisburg Town Counsel. Dwight loved his God and his family more than anything. He attended the Urbana Nazarene Church. Dwight was such a caring, compassionate, sensitive and loving man. He truly cared about everybody he came in contact with and he touched so many peoples' lives. Dwight leaves behind his mother, Muriel Thompson of Duffield, VA, wife of 39 years, Nancy E. Thompson, his children, April (Dennis) Freville and Paul D. (Wendy) Thompson all of North Lewisburg; seven grandchildren, his brothers and sister, Johnny (Susie) Thompson of Vera Beach, FL, Donald (Jessie) Thompson of Pikeville, KY, Darin Thompson of Kingsport, TN, Brian Thompson of Pikeville KY and Bernice (Eugene) Adkins of Pikeville, KY; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ester Thompson and two brothers, Adrian and Lonnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on September 3, 2006 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg. Masonic services will be held at 5:45 p.m. on September 3, 2006 in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on September 4, 2006 in the Urbana Nazarene Church with the Pastors Rev. Gary Morgan and Rev. John Ware officiating.
