Marie Branham French Varney, 95, of Turkey Creek, died Thursday, 
April 29, 1999,at Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, W.Va. 

She was born at Offut, Nov. 23, 1903, a daughter of the late Jesse 
and Mattie Penix Branham. She was a homemaker and a member 
of the Rogers Park Missionary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by two husbands,R.J. French and John Varney; 
one son, Charles J. Dameron; threebrothers and one sister. 

She is survived by four granddaughters, four great-granddaughters, three 
great-grandsons, three nieces, and one nephew. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, in the Hatfield Funeral 
Home Chapel with Rocky Layne officiating. Burial followedin Mountain View 
Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Arrangements were under direction 
of Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler.
