A funeral on Greasy is a funeral held at Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. 
The deceased was my great grandmother, Mary Jane Gillespie Prater, wife of Gilliam 
Prater. Mary Jane was born on March 06, 1876 at Greasy Creek, Pike Co., Kentucky 
and died on August 07, 1954 at Greasy Creek, Pike Co., Kentucky. She is buried in 
the Prater Cemetery, Greasy Creek, Pike Co., Kentucky. Gilliam and Mary Jane had 
12 children. Mary Jane was the daughter of John Bowen Gillespie and Sarah Jane 
Ratliff.
