Standing in back, Hester Prater, her husband Eli Adkins, Victoria, Ike, and 
Luanne Prater. Sitting, Daniel Jackson Prater holding Josie Robinson, and 
Malissa Roberts. I think the last man sitting with the moustache is Gilliam 
Prater. 
Daniel Jackson Prater was born on August 02, 1858 in Greasy Creek, Pike Co., 
Kentucky and died on August 02, 1914 at Greasy Creek, Pike Co., Kentucky. He was 
a farmer who died of Malarial Fever. Daniel was the son of Ezekial Prater & Mary 
Polly Reffitt.
Malissa Roberts was born on November 15, 1856 at Greasy Creek, Pike Co., 
Kentucky and died on September 16, 1953 at Greasy Creek, Pike Co.,Kentucky. She 
was the daughter of  James Roberts Jr and Mary Potter.
Daniel and Malissa were my 2nd great grandparents.


Additional Comments:
Hester Prater was shot and killed by her husband Eli Adkins. She was 33 years old 
and left 3 children. I don't know what it was over or what his punishment was. He 
died 11 years later.
