Died: Thursday, July 03, 2003
Age: 78

Silas Dean Wolfe Jr., of Wittensville, died Thursday, July 3, at the 
VA Facility, Hazard.

Born Oct. 24, 1924 in Pike County, he was a son of the late Silas 
Dean Sr. and Grace Williamson Wolfe. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dills Wolfe, 
in 2002.

Survivors include a son, Roderick Wolfe; a daughter, Patricia 
Colvin; a brother, Lawrence Wolfe of Ironton, Ohio; a sister, Della 
Irvin of Wittensville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, July 20, at Preston Funeral Chapel, 
Paintsville, with Rev. W. J. Womack officiating. Burial was in Highland 
Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under the direction of Preston 
Funeral Home.
