She was born in Pike County, Nov. 4, 1906, a daughter of the late Hean Elsworth Johnson and Sarah Belle Phillips Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Meathouse Fork of Johns Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Gannon; one son, Virgil Gannon; two daughters, Judy Gannon and Beatrice Norman; and one sister. She is survived by four sons, Earl Gannon, Norman Ray Gannon, Donnie E. Gannon, Dannie Gannon; three daughters, Ruby Gannon Varney, Gladys Jean Varney, Mabel Varney; one brother, Lee Thomas Johnson; and one sister, Amy Johnson Williams. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Kendrick and T.I. Runyons officiating. Burial will follow in the Everett Gannon Cemetery, Kimper. Arrangements are under direction of J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.
