Easter Hylton May, 71, of Elkhorn City, died Wednesday, 
Oct. 15, 2003, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital.

She was born in Pike County, March 27, 1932, a daughter of 
the late Delma Hylton and Stella Adkins Hylton
.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel May.

She is survived by four sons, Richard May of Pompey, John May 
and Ken May, both of Elkhorn City, James May of Rockhouse; 
two daughters, Iris Thacker of Regina and Patricia Coleman of 
Elkhorn City; two brothers, Paul Hylton of Hellier and Amos Hylton 
of Ohio; one sister, Nancy Williams of Greasy Creek; six grandchildren, 
and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in the 
Unity Freewill Baptist Church, Rockhouse, with Joey Lawson, 
Delon Jones and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie 
E. Young Cemetery, Chloe Road. Arrangements are under direction 
of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Visitation will be at the church from 6-10 p.m. Friday with 
special services at 7.
