Mitchell Keith Chapman, 41, of Kimper, died Monday, 
Jan. 13, 2003, at his home.

He was born in Pike County, March 11, 1961, a son of 
Roger Chapman and Shirley Norman.

He was a retired coal miner, formerly employed by Sidney Coal 
Company; and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Tammy 
Chapman; one son, Mitchell Keith Chapman Jr. of Shelbiana; 
three brothers, Rodney Chapman and Trichell Chapman, both 
f Kimper, Trodney Chapman of Virgie; one half-sister, Meggan 
Michelle Chapman of Huddy; his second mother, Hazel Fields; and his girlfriend, Shellia Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the Lucas 
& Hall Funeral Home Chapel with E.W. Damron, Jerry Bliffen, 
and Chester Varney officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell 
Chapman Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of 
Lucas & Hall Funeral Home of Pikeville.
