Submitted by: DMP http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00001.html#0000062 Nov. 2003 ******************************************************************* Jacqueline Amick Jacqueline “Jackie” Coleman Amick of Washington, N.C., died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, N.C. She was born in Pike County, a daughter of the late David and Noma Justice Coleman. She was a teacher’s assistant in Unionville, Va., the John Small School in Washington, and at the time of her death was working at the Chocowinity Primary School, North Carolina. She was a member of the Wenona Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Curt Amick, who died in 1953. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Amick; one son, Tom Amick of Washington; one daughter, Lisa Amick Lee; one brother, Ivon Gene Coleman of Radcliff; three sisters, Juanita Thacker Lowe, Christine Kendrick and Shelby Coleman, all of Shelbiana; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Paul Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Caton officiating. Local funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Shelbiana. Arrangements were under direction of Paul Funeral Home of Washington. Local arrangements were under direction of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville. Memorials may be made to the Louisville Bible College, Louisville, Ky., or the Mountain Mission School, Grundy, Va.
