Williamson, 78, of Forest Hills, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at the South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born in Pike County, March 28, 1925, a son of the late Issac “Ike” and Virginia Greer Williamson. He was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad, was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Blackwood; and was a member of the Belfry First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Edith Reed Williamson; his first wife, Loraine Sprinkle Williamson; and one brother, Glen Dale Williamson. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Henson Brown Williamson; one stepdaughter, Pam (Mrs. Larry) Williamson of Belfry ; one brother, Kelly Williamson of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and three stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Arrangements are under direction of Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers are Bob Henson, Curtis Henson, Larry Williamson, Danny William-son, Glen Dale Williamson, and Steve Bostic. Honorary pallbearers are Norfolk & Southern Railroad retirees.
