Otis Slone

Otis Dean Slone, 49, of Raccoon, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at 
his home.

He was born in Pike County, June 13, 1953, a son of Raymond 
and Elma Jean Slone of Raccoon.

He was a disabled coal miner, was of the Freewill Baptist faith 
and a member of the Bethel Church.

He is survived by one son, Paul David Slone of Charleston, W.Va.; 
two daughters, Crystal Thacker and Tammy Jean Slone of Ohio;
two brothers, Danny Slone and Randy Slone, both of Raccoon; 
and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 7, in 
the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Old Regular 
Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the 
Annie E. Young Cemetery, Chloe Road. Arrangements are 
under direction of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Pallbearers are Craig Slone, Mike Boehmer, Paul May, 
Tom Thacker, Jackey Justice, Jerry M. Coleman, 
and Emory Slone.
