She was born in Flint, Mich., Jan. 19, 1920, a daughter of the late Alma Damron Justice. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charlie Justice; and two sons, Roger Hayes Williams and Peco Williams. She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Buskirk of Auxier, Geraldine (Mrs. Jerry) Coleman of Pikeville, Marsha Collins of Hilton Head, S.C.; one brother, Scotty Justice of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Nellie Price and Vida Justice, both of Pikeville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was born in Pike County, Jan. 16, 1924, a son of the late Harry and Sally Akers Dixon. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by three sons, Luther Dixon Jr. of Mullins, Ricky Joe Dixon of Chloe Road, Pikeville, Dennis George of Marion, N.C.; one daughter, Irene Luster of Chloe Road; one sister, Emogene Thacker of Peytons Creek; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Billy Howard Mullins, 50, of Statesville, N.C., formerly of Pikeville, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at the Baptist Hospital, Statesville. He was born in Pikeville, Aug. 25, 1948, a son of Howard Mullins of Glasgow and Blanche Gunter of McMinnville, Tenn. He was a used equipment sales manager and a Vietnam War veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy. He was preceded in death by one brother. Besides his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Glen Gunter of McMinnville; his stepmother, Madge Mullins of Glasgow; his wife, Pamelene Mullins; six brothers, Gerald Eugene Mullins and Ellis Coleman, both of Pikeville, Shayne Mullins of Glasgow, Grady Coleman of Fords Branch, Glen Gunter and Ninny Gunter, both of Michigan; one sister, Rhonda Karen McHenry of Selah, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. Hall, 68, of Belfry, died Friday, July 2, 1999, in the emergency room of South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in Shelby County, Feb. 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Russell E. and Blanche Roberts Rogers. She was owner of R.E. Rogers Funeral Home, past worthy matron of Stone Chapter #533 Order of Eastern Star, past deputy matron of District Five Women of the Moose, a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Belfry Area Homemakers, Belfry United Methodist Women, and the Belfry United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Hall Jr.; and one sister. He was a coach and teacher in the Pike County School System for more than 20 years, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a certified electrician in the mining industry. He is survived by Sandra Spears of Jenkins; one daughter, Elizabeth Paige Spears of Jenkins; three brothers, Jimmy Spears of Versailles, Edwin Spears Jr. of Winchester, William Spears of Lawrenceburg; and two sisters, Bertha Tackett of Rye Cove, Va., and Deborah Gullett of Haymond. July 23, 1999 Geneva Cool, 62, of Pikeville, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. She was born in Pikeville, Nov. 27, 1937, a daughter of Oscar and Margie Abshire Williamson of Lick Creek. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one brother. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Romer Cool; one son, Kris Cool of Johns Creek; one daughter, Abby Cool of Lexington; and one brother, Phillip Casey of Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, in the Pike County Chapel, with Cathy Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, East Shelbiana. He was born in Pikeville, May 28, 1941, a son of the late Richard Wade and Myrtle Adkins May. He was a disabled coal miner, formerly employed by Kentland Elkhorn Coal Corp., and a member of the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Anderson May; one son, Christopher Paul May of Raccoon; four brothers, Perry May of Kimper, Johnny May and Danny May, both of Phyllis, Bobby May of Banner; and three sisters, Ruby Jean Presley, Linda Justice, and Bonnie Varney, all of Phyllis. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 9, in the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ, with Howard Pugh, Willie Abshire, Luke Newell, and Daniel Newell officiating. Mrs. Frankie Jones Ratliff, 85, of Dwarf, formerly of Bowling Fork, Marrowbone, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1999, in Perry County. She was born at Pippa Passes, March 21, 1914, a daughter of the late Pearl Jones and Nancy Huff. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ratliff Jr. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Terry of Mousie, Pearl Moore of Lakevilla, Ill., Lewis Moore of Goshen, Ind., Ed Moore of Corbin, Clyde Moore of Indianapolis, Sharlene Lockenvitz and Kurt Lockenvitz, both of Dwarf. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, in the J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Burton Bentley, Stacy Hopkins, Monroe Jones, and others officiating. She was born in Sidney, June 14, 1914, a daughter of the late Thomas Beverly and Liddie Collins Varney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sidney Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Webb; one brother; and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Charles Webb and Mark Webb, both of Sidney; five daughters, Patsy Coleman of Columbus, Ohio, Lydia Merritt of Caney Creek, Tenn., Rayetta Webb, Shirley Webb, and Betty Bogar, all of Sidney; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
