Marriage Record of Anderson Blair & Louisa McCoy - 1850 (Pike County, Kentucky - File Number 1078) This is to Certify to the Clerk of Pike County to wit that we are willing and do request you to grant marage Licens for Anderson Blaire & Louisa McCoy to be married given under our hands and seals September the 16th 1850. McCoy Anna McCoy Seigned in the presents of: Compton McCoy Harrison Blare --------------------------------------------------------- Know all men by these presents that we Anderson Blare and Compton McCoy are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of in the sum of L50, To the payment whereof well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs etc Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 18th day of September 1850. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above Bound Anderson Blare and Miss Louisa McCoy of this County now should it always hereafter appear that there is no just cause to obstruct the Said Marriage then the above obligation to be void Else to remain in full force and virtue. This shall therefore authorize you to Join in matrimony the said Anderson Blare and Miss Louisa McCoy and this shall warrant you for so doing.
