Thomas(hisxmark)Chapman Test- Henry Farley Clay Farley ----------------------------------------------------------- Know all men by these presents that we James Thompson and Clay Farley are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of 50 L for the payment whereof well and truly to be made,we bind ourselves, our heirs etc. jointly and severally by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated the 19th day of March 1849. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound James Thompson and Cyntha A. Chapman now shall it always hereafter appear that there is no just cause to obstruct said marriage then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
