December the 23 1801 was born my son Benjamin
October the 16 1803 was born my daughter Francis
Aprile the 26 1805 was born my daughter Nancy

{Wife Francis died, remarried Susannah Higgins}

My GGG Grandfather, William m. Sarah Jane nee Barns claims his father, Aaron 
VanHook, was born in VA, and William's much younger brother, David, claims
that their father, Aaron, was born in NC or vice versa.

Someone told me once or I read that different parts of VA & NC kept getting 
confused as what state a child was born. A child could be born while the area 
was part of VA and then a child born later it had become a part of NC. The 
same thing was happening with the building of Kentucky Counties. I believe 
the state of Kentucky itself was just county of Virginia? Several KY counties 
were built from Lincoln County. Parts of other counties to build one other 
county and so on and so.
