All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Carol White cadwhite@macomb.com March 5, 2007, 8:26 pm Written: October 1, 1851 Pulaski co Deed Bk 14 p489 This deed made 1st day of October 1851 between James Barron and Nancy his wife late Nancy McKenzie Anderson Todd & Sally his wife late Sally McKinzie Henry Sipple & Polly his wife late Polly McKinzie & Lacy McKenzie heirs at law and legal representatives of David McKinzy dec’d of the one part and James L Bobbitt of the other part all of the County of Pulaski and State of Kentucky that the Aforesaid heirs of David McKinzie dec’d have this day for and in consideration of the sum of $159=50 cents to them severally in hand paid bargained and sold to the said James L Bobbit And his heirs forever their undivided interest being one seventh each in and to the following tract of land situate on the waters of Buck Creek in the County and State aforesaid which descended to them from their ancester the said David McKinzie dec’d And bounded as follows (towit) Beginning on a hickory thence S73 E 110 poles to 4 poplars standing on John Pings line thence S8 W 190 poles to two whiteoaks thence N82 W 41 poles to a Bl;ack Oak thence N33 W 20 poles to a Stake Godfrey Isbells Corner thence with said Isbells line N71 W 78 poles to a White Oak Marked D.M.K. thence Northwards to the Beginning. the said James L Bobbit to have and to hold the interest afs’d in and to the tract of land afs’d with the exception of the five acres included in the above boundary heretofore sold to Jacob Thomas and another three quarter acres sold and donated to Flatlick Church included in the above boundary And one acre including the mansion house with the privilege and right to use water and timber on the tract of Land afs’d during the natural life of Elizabeth McKinzie One of the heirs of the said David McKinzie dec’d should that part of tract fall to either of the parties of the first part on division then and in that event at the death of said Elizabeth the same is to belong to the said James L Bobbit And the parties of the first part here Covenant And Agree to forever warrant and defend a good and lawful tithe to their respective undivided interest in said tract of land with the reservations aforesaid to the said James L Bobbit and his heirs or assigns forever In Testimony whereof they the said James Barron and Nancy his wife Anderson Todd & Sally his wife Henry Sipple & Polly his wife & Lacy McKinzie & Mary Ann his wife have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written-- James Barron Nancy Barron Henry Sipple Polly Sipple Anderson Todd Sally X Todd Lacey McKinzie Maryann McKinzie Additional Comments: James Barron & Nancy McKinzie Barron, Anderson Todd & Sally McKinzie Todd, Henry Sipple & Polly McKinzie Sipple, Lacy McKinzie & his wife Mary Ann; heirs of David McKinzie I'm afraid I forgot to copy page 490 which would have had the date of when it was recorded.
