This Indenture made this 30th day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand and Eight hundred and 
Seventeen between Richard Lee of the County of Madison and State of Kentucky of the one part and Joel 
Hubble of State of Virginia and Washington County of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Richard 
Lee for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the said 
Joel Hubbell the Receipt whereof he hath hereby acknowledged it hath granted bargained _____ and 
Confirmed  unto the said Joel Hubbell one certain Tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and 
seventy acres on the ______ of Buck Creek, Pulaski County, and bounded as follows To Wit, Beginning at 
a black oak corner to Robert Gilliland, thence North Sixty nine west one hundred and Sixty Poles to 
black oak thence North thirty nine west one hundred poles to a white oak thence North Sixty East forty 
seven poles to a slake.  Thence North forty one East ninety four poles to a ______ oak thence south 
fifty seven East ninety poles to Thomas McGuire's corner a forked black Oak.  Thence with said 
McGuire's line South Sixteen East one hundred and Eighty four poles to Robert Gilliland's line thence 
with said Gilliland's line South seventy west twenty (seventy?) poles to the Beginning to have and to 
hold the aforesaid parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the said Joe B. Hubbell and his heirs 
forever and the said Richard Lee shall and will forever Warrant and Defend the aforesaid parcel of land 
with all the appurtenances from that of his claim and his heirs and assigns and from all persons 
forever unto the said Joel Hubbell his heirs or assigns to him or heirs only proper use and 
____________.  In Testimony whereof the said Richard Lee hereunto sets his hand _____ his seal the day 
and year above Written.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky Pulaski County ___

I William Fox, Clerk to the County Court ________ for the county aforesaid Do hereby certify that this 
Indenture of Bargain and Sale from Richard Lee and Elizabeth Lee his wife to Joel Hubbell was ______ to 
most my Office as Clerk aforesaid on the 27th day of October 1817 which was proved to be the act and 
Deed of the said Richard Lee and Elizabeth Lee by the Oath of Charles Lee and William Hubbell.  _______ 
_______ _______ and the Same hath been Duly Recorded in my Office.
