Know all men by these presents that I William Stogsdill of the County of Pulaski & 
Commonwealth of Kentucky do by these presents appoint Aquilla Mon___ of the County in State 
aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my and Stead, as my attorney in fact to 
attend the paymaster who is, or may be appointed, to pay off the troops Commanded by Maj 
Rennicks in Genl Hopkins Army to draw the wages that I may entitled to as a private with 
Volunters for my service as ___ & is as pr. my discharge Signed and Given to me by my Capt. 
Thomas Dollarhide aforesaid and to Receipt for the same ___ named as my Attorney in fact 
aforesaid I ___ the acts as may be necessary hereby ratifying and affirming what ever my 
said Attorney may lawfully do in and about the ___ is as in my ___ & stead as I myself 
might or could were I personally present. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
& seal this 31st day of August 1816

I William Fox, clerk to the county Court ___ for the county aforesaid do hereby certify 
that the Letter of Attorney from William Stogsdill to Aquila Mo___ is as produced to me at 
my office as Clerk & the Court aforsaid on the __ day of September 1816 which was proved to 
be the act and deed of the said William Stogsdill aparty thereto by the oath of John Clare 
a Subscribing witness thereto and the same hath been duly recorded in my office
