This Indenture made this 26th day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight 
and Twenty three between William Stockdale of the County of Pulaski of the one part and 
Shadrick Stocksdale of the County aforesaid of the other part both of the State of 
Kentucky, Witnesseth that the said William Stocksdale for and in consideration of the sum 
of one dollar current money of Kentucky in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged and for the natural love and affection which I have and Love unto my beloved 
son Shadrick Stocksdale and also for divers other good causes and considerations me the 
said William Stocksdale hereunto have given, granted, bargained sell and confirm unto the 
said Shadrick Stocksdale his heirs and assigns all that track or parcel of land situate and 
being in the County of Pulaski on the waters of Sinking valley containing by Survey twenty 
seven acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows towit, Beginning at a black 
Walnut standing on the North line of the originall survey thence South 80 East34 poles to 
white Oak thence North 20 poles to white Oak thence South Eighty East 22 poles to a Walnut 
thence South 90 poles to two poplars thence West 55 poles to a stake thence North 80 poles 
to the Beginning Together with all and singular the goods with the appertainances thereunto 
belonging or in anywise appertaining To have and To hold the land hereby conveyed withthe 
appertainances unto the said Shaderick Stocksdale his heirs and assigns forever and the 
said William Stocksdale for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators the aforesaid 
track of land and unto the said Shaderick Stocksdale his heirs and assigns against the 
claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever doth and well warrant and 
forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said William Stocksdale hath 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date first above Written
