Whereas William Stockstill now being setled on a claim of Land belonging to Jesse 
Richardson which he has purchased of William Byan of Lincoln County two hundred acres 
Serated and survaid in the name of John Redley and patented in the name of William Bryan 
whereon he has served a rit of agreement on and before the first day of January 1816 for __ 
___ __ to give up now I all my claim to said Land and possession, now I say I will not stop 
any Suit for said land but doth give up all Claims rite or title to my Duplicate and 
improvements and purssession of Land only I and to have the use of my cabbins to dispose of 
by taking it of the Land this year and then its all give up to Jesse Richardson or his 
representatives as Witness my hand and seal this 22 Day of March 1816

I William Fox Clerk to the County Court held in for the County aforesaid do herby Certify 
that this Instrument of writing from William Stogsdill to Jesse Richardson was produced to 
me in my Office & Served to the Court aforesaid on the 26th day of May 1827 which was 
proven in part by the oath of Christopher Clonch one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto 
to be the act and deed of the said William Stogsdill afterwards Towit on the 29th day of 
October 1821 It was fully proven by the oath of Timothy Resvark and the subscribing witness 
hereto and the same hath been duly Recorded in my Office
