Stogsdill (1856) - Pulaski Co, KY - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Submitted by Peggy Fischer, mspiggy@fidnet.com Date: 22 Jul 2001 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SURNAMES: Adkins, Fiscus, Graves, Stogsdill Pulaski County Kentucky Deed...FHL #0804604 This deed made this 1st day of march 1856 between Benjamin Adkins & Mary his wife & Abraham Fiscus and Evaline his wife late Evaline Adkins heirs at law and legal representatives of Polly Adkins decd who was a heir at law of Benjamin Stogsdill deceased of the county of clay in the state of indiana of the one part and Willis J Stogsdill of the county of Pulaski and State of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the party of the first part for the consideration of forty five Dollars each have this day sold and by these presences do convey unto the party of the second part and his heirs or assigns forever all their Rights and title interest and claim being one undivided forth of the one undivided fifth each of the three tracts of land here in after named belonging to the estate of Benjamin Stogsdill Deceased the first tract containing 100 acres be the same more or less being the same tract of land conveyed by Robert Graves & wife to Benjamin Stogsdill heirs & representatives dated, 13th of Oct 1817 and recorded in Clerks office Pulaski county court in deed Book No 5 page 238 the second tract contain 75 acres patented to the heirs of Benjamin Stogsdill decd by patent dated the 8 day of January 1827 and the third and last tract contain 40 acres by estimation be the same more or less being the same tract of land which was conveyed to the heirs of Benjamin Stogsdill decd by Nathan Bray & wife all situated in county of Pulaski on the waters of Buck creek for further particulars reference is here make to the deed and patent aforesaid the said Willis J Stogsdill to have and to hold the interests as aforesaid in the tracts of land aforesaid to himself his heirs assigns forever and the party of the first part hereby covenant forever warrant and defend as good and sufficient title to the interest so as aforesaid conveyed to the said Willis J Stogsdill and his heirs or assigns forever in testimony whereof they have hereto subscribed therein and affixed there seals this day and year first above written Benjamin Adkins Abraham x Fiscus Eveline x Fiscus State of Indiana Clay county & Personally appraised before me Clerk of the clay circuit count Benjamin Adkins whose name appears Signed to the foregoing Indenture and acknowledge the signing and delivery thereof to be his voluntary act and deed Witnesseth my hand and official Seal this 8th day of march AD 1856 ************************************* USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities as long as this message remains on all copied material.
