Alexander and Elizabeth his wife late Elizabeth Stogsdill of the County of Pulaski and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Stogsdill of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William P Alexander & wife for and In consideration of the sum of Two hundred Dollars to them by the said William Stogsdill in hand paid the receipt Thereof is hereby Acknowledged Whereas the said Elizabeth Alexander is a Daughter and heir at Law of Benjamin Stogsdill decd and Whereas the said William P Alexander purchased of Jackson Chayne and wife who was another heir at Law of said Benjamin Stogsdill Decd their Interest in the land of said Decedants Estate being the one fifth and Whereas the said William P Alexander purchased of Singleton Earp who was a son of Sarah Erp Decd also one of the Daughters & Heirs of said Benjamin Stogsdill Decd which Interest being the one third of the one fifth and whereas for the consideration above set forth the said William P Alexander and wife doth grant bargain sell convey & confirm unto the said William Stogsdill the above described interest which Is the two fifths and the one third of one fifth of all the following Tracts of land being the whole of the Landed estate of which Benjamin Stogsdill Decd seized-and possessed of in the County of Pulaski on the waters of Buck Creek the final Tract containing one hundred acres more or Less the 2nd Tract containing seventy five acres more or Less the third tract containg forty acres more or Less the first Tract conveyed to the said Benjamin Stogsdill by Robert Graves & wife the 2nd Tract patented in the name of the heirs of said Benjamin Stogsdill and the third Tract conveyed by Nathan Bray & wife to the aforesaid Heirs The said William Stogsdill To have & to hold the above described Interest in the aforesaid Tracts of Land to himself and his Heirs forever And the said William P Alexander Elizabeth his wife agrees that they will warrant and forever Defend the Title to their Interest being the Two fifths and their heirs forever and all and every other Person or Persons Claiming by Through or under him- In Testimony whereof the said William P Alexander & Elizabeth his wife have hereunto subscribed there names & accorded their seals the day month and year above written William P x Alexander Elizabeth x Alexander Commonwealth of Kentucky Pulaski County Sct I William M Fox Clerk of the County Court holden for the County aforsaid Do certify that this Deed of Conveyance from William P Alexander and his wife Elizabeth Alexander to Wm Stogsdill was this day produced to me in my office and Acknowledged by the said William P Alexander to be his act and Deed. And the said Elizabeth Alexander being examined by me priviley and apart from her said husband declared that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver said writing and wishes not to retract It. And acknowledged said writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and Deed and consentifh that the same may be recorded.
