From Pulaski County, KY Somerset Journal,  October, 1951:

FREEMAN

Mrs. Docia FREEMAN, 91, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.M. HEATH, in Somerset 
Friday afternoon (October 12) at 4:15 o*,clock.  She had been in declining health for some 
time.  She was born in Clinton County, Kentucky, Aug. 15, 1860.  She was married to Thomas 
LONG in her youth and to this union three children, Sylvester LONG, deceased, William E. 
LONG of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Mollie Long KIDD, of Somerset, were born.

After Mr. Long*,s death, she was married to J.B. FREEMAN and to this union was born one 
daughter, Nannie. L. HEATH of Somerset.  She accepted Christ in early womanhood and in more 
recent years joined the Cotter Avenue Church of God.

She will long be remembered for her genial nature, her generosity and consideration of 
others.  Her beautiful Christian life was an inspiration to all.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of God, the Rev. James TOMLINSON 
and the Rev. Manuel CAMPBELL officiating.  Interment in the City Cemetery.

Surviving are the three children, William E. Long, Elizabethon, Tenn., Mrs.
George Kidd and Mrs. F.M. Heath of Somerset.
