The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** OBITUARY: (From an unknown March 1972 newspaper, exact date unknown) Logan Keith, 84, West Somerset, died Monday, March 6, at Somerset City Hospital after an illness of six months. He was a member of the first elected fiscal court of McCreary and served from 1914 to 1918. He was born in Pulaski County (now northwest McCreary County) on June 18, 1887, the son of the former Elizabeth Coffey and Billy Keith, both deceased. He lived in McCreary County until about 1920 when he moved to Newport, Ky., where he was an employee of Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors. After a few years he moved from Newport to Boone County where he engaged in farming. He returned to Pulaski County in 1952. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Somerset and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 60 years. He was married to the former Elizabeth Sellers who survives. Also surviving are tow brothers, Luther of Sloans Valley and Alvis of Greenwood. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. Eldred Taylor and Rev. S.L. Sears officiating. Burial was in the Somerset Cemetery.
