Cecil Roundtree and Robert Collins. Burial will be in Liberty Church Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion. He died Wednesday at his home. Born July 30, 1925, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late William O. and Dovie T. Warren Payne. He was a farmer and Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service field representative. He also was a founding member and emergency medical technician for Waynesburg Area Rescue Squad. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ada Elizabeth McWilliams Payne; a son, Leland R. Payne of Vincennes, Ind.; a daughter, Anita Arney of Salem, Ind.; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; a great-grandchild; an six step great-grandchildren. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may go to Gideons International Bible Fund.
