Marriage Record book 15 page 149 & 150
Surety Bond, Charles Whitis and James Arnold. Charles Whitis of Pulaski County, 
age 19, 1st marriage, occupation farmer, groom's birthplace, Pulaski County, KY 
father's birthplace Tennessee, mothers birthplace, Tennessee. Bride Sarah C. 
Brady age 22, 1st marriage, Brides birthplace, Pulaski County, KY, Bride's 
fathers birthplace, Virginia, mothers, North Carolina. To be married at the 
residence of Josiah Brady. Witness, James M. Brady and Mary C. Smith. 

Additional Comments:
I believe this Charles to be the son of John Whitis and Susan Roberts even 
though the birthplaces of his parents are not right. At age 19 he may have not 
known, and his parents did come through Tenn. On 1900 census Charles says he 
had been married 3 times. This would be his 1st.
