I Stephen Smith of the County of Pulaski do hereby make my last will and 
testament in manner and form following that is to say I desire that all my 
just debts be paid and funeral expenses be paid

2nd After the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give to my wife Nancy 
Smith all my land where I now live to the Stanford Road which is the east end 
of said land during her natural life also my land lying in Petersons Creek 
known by the name to her to dispose of as she pleases 

Also all my personal estate I give to my wife Nancy during her natural life 

Also my desire is that at my wife Nancy Smiths decease my desire is that my 
land first mentioned shall be equally divided between my three youngest 
children that is to say Elizabeth Smith John Smith and Stephen Smith and in 
the division between them three at my wifes death for all the personal 
property then remaining to be equally divided between Elizabeth John & Stephen 
Smith and for it to be fully understood that if one or more of them should dye 
before the death of my wife for the land & personal property to go to the 
service or services and in the division of the aforesaid land for there to be 
one half acre reserved around the spring which I now make use of for the 
benefit of Elizabeth John & Stephen and Thomas Smith 

If required also I give to my son Thomas Smith all that part of my land lying 
on the west side of the Stanford Road bounded with said road Shacklefords line 
Sargents line Blackledges line and Boones line to him and his heirs forever 

And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Nancy Smith my 
Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills 
and testaments by me heretofore made

Lastly my desire is that my estate be not appraised 

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th 
day of October one thousand eight hundred and eleven &c

State of Kentucky
At a county court held for Pulaski County at the Court house thereof on Monday 
the 23rd day of Decr 1811 this writing was proved to be the last will and 
testament of Stephen Smith decd
by the oath of John Newby and Thomas Sargent subscribing witnesses thereto 
which was ordered to be entered of record and the same is done accordingly
