Mt. Olivet, Robertson Co., Kentucky Thursday, 29 July 1982 Stanley Lee Burns, a native of Robertson County, died Thursday, July 15 in Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. A retired farmer and salesman, he was co-owner of the Graves and Burns Department Store in Mt. Olivet for many years. He was a son of the late Charlie and Lucy Burns. Mr. Burns was a member of the Kentontown Christian Church for more than 50 years and had served as deacon and elder. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Berna Hatfield Burns; a son Charles C. Burns of Muncie, Ind. and three daughters, Frances Graves of Mt. Olivet, Hilda Insko of May's Lick and Shirley Dryden of Carlisle; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A son, Dennis, predeceased him. He also leaves two brothers, Eugene Burns of Bellview and George Burns of Cynthiana. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 18 at the Kentontown Christian Church with the Rev. Virgil Messer officiating. Burial under direction of Kain and Kabler Funeral Home, was in the church cemetery.
