Her husband, William Davis Myers preceded her in death on July 18th. Mrs. Myers was born in Robertson County on Feb. 10, 1927 daughter of the late Claude and Madie Cooper Gifford. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Larry) Farris of May's Lick and Patricia (Arthur) "Cork" Prater of Vanceburg; a son, Gary (Elizabeth) Myers of Washington; four grandchildren, Holly Ruark Gilbert of Garrison, Shonda Ruark of San Jose, CA; Lisa Iery of May's Lick and Larry Farris, Jr. of Maysville; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Katherine Myers and Rebecca Adamson both of Mt. Olivet, Audra Kreutz of Maysville; a brother, Roger (Helen) Gifford of Flemingsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alva Reed and Ann Watson; and four brothers, Julian "Jack" Gifford, Lovell Gifford, Lemuel "Scoon" Gifford and Clayton Gifford. Graveside services were held Sun., July 28 at Green Acres Cemetery at Washington. Rev. Gorman Parrish officiated. Burial followed.
