Our hogs grub saw briers our cattle and sheep peel elders and eat old sedge while the horses and mules -- well they just forage on thier nabors; but priase the Lord we have sunshine of spring;' the hens cackle early in the morning and occasionall one or two ov them lay. Betsey said old Dominnane had bilt a nest in the ash house and laid three eggs and our nabor Smith's turkey is layin too. The moon is working south and gittin bigger every day while the sun rises further north by one minit each am and stands one minit nearer Zenith each noon. Yes, and the North star shines all night just as in former times and under Democractic rule. Soemtimes I think the unselltle state ov n ter and cold backward spring are caused by the political situation in Ky there fore we suggest that Billy Taylor and those other Billeys rush thier case through Unkle Psalms court and fetch it to Possum Holler for "Final Examination" and we,ll refer it to Cam Sowder & Uncle Bill and they'll soon settle it.
