Elmore Clell Williams was here Monday last The Gold Medal Contest here Friday night was a success and highly appreciated by the Livingston people. The contestants were: Misses Eva Freeman, Maranda McKenzie and Mayme Jones, of Mt. Vernon; Jno Ros of Pittsburg, and Messrs Eugene Mullins and Tom Stewart. They all ded exceedingly well. The judges gave the medal to Miss Mayme Jones and the second proze to Eugene Mullins. But we must especially mention Miss McKenzie's effort. The recitations of McKenzie Brown and Miss Fannie Sparks were highly appreciated and applauded.
