Lewis and L.W. Bethurum represent Marler and C.C. Williams was attorney for Cromer's One of the most interesting and hotly contested suits that we have had for years was tried in the Circuit Court last week between Mrs Margaret Sambrook and W.R. Dillion of Livingston. Williams & Williams represented Mrs Sambrook while Capt Dillion had Judge J.W. Alcorn, of Stanford, McClure and Brown, L.W. Bethurum and S.D. Lewis of the local bar. In 1893 Mrs Sambrook sold the land where the Riverside mansion is located also some other land togehter with some boom privileges on the river and a strip of land on far side of and running along the river bak for two miles. On his motion the cases were "nollied". DEATH: Mrs Margaret Fish, aged 73, died Friday night of stomach trouble. Mrs Fish was the wife of the late Judge J.M. Fish who was for four years Judge of this county and who also served one term in the Legislature from this county. To Mrs Fish six children were born; four of who are still living; Judge J.R. Fish of this place, G.C. and Hiram Fish who live on the old homestead; and Mrs Dr J.L. Whitehead of Norton Va. Those dear are Mrs Capt W.H. Spradlin who died about twenty years ago; and Mrs J.K. McClary who died five years ago.
