Collins presiding judge of the Russell County Court, Elizabeth George a resident of Russell County and State of Kentucky aged 30, years, who being duly sworn according to law, doth on her oath make the following declaration, in order to obtain the benefit of the provision made by the Act of Congress approved July 14,1862: That she is the widow of John George who was a private in Company "G" Commanded by F.?. Wolford in the 12th Regiment of Kentucky Volunteer Infantry in the War of 1861 died on the *27th day of August 1864 at Marietta,Georgeia od wounds recieved in Battle near Atlanta on the 6th Day of August 1864- - She furthur declares that she was married to the said John George on the 30th day of June in the year of 1853. That her husband the aforesaid John George died on the day above mentioned and that she has remained a widow ever since that period, as will more fully appear by reference to the proof hereto annexed. She also declares that She has not in any manner been engaged in or aided and abetted the rebellion in the United States. She states she has two children under sixteen years of age, and that her said husband has two children under sixteen years of age by a former marrage, to wit: John R. 15 years, Wm Neal, 12 years, James R 8 years, Ivy 6 years old. Residence in Russell County State of Kentucky. I hereby Appoint W.P. Payne my agent to prosecute this Claim in my behalf and request the Commission of Pensions to address said Payne at Jamestown Ky. upon all things touching my claim.
