IN MEMORY OF MY DEAR HUSBAND One year ago today, The Lord took my dear husband away, Ever since he died, Blessed Jesus is at my side. Tho the memory for him is still the same To meet him in Heaven is my aim. Many tears I have shed, When I veiw the places where his feet have tread, Oh, The sorrow no one knows, Only those who have loved ones gone. Those words he said do consulate, We will meet again at the golden gate. I am now left in the home alone, I roam the fields and meadows and cry When I veiw the places we used to work, He and I, I owe many thanks still, To all who were so kind when he was ill. There is only one thing that comforts most, That is the sweet Holy Ghost, This is what Jesus said he would send, And it would be with us until the end, I desire the prayers of those who know the Lord, That Ill be faithful and win my reward.
