Memo for Ky Archivists, June 12, 1999
It has come to my attention that many assume that the archives and the main county pages are 
run by the same person, or that by contacting one person it will cover both sides of things. 
  -  Not so.  - 

If you are both CC and Archivist, and if you decide to give them both up, you will have two 
seperate people to contact. The person who oversees the main county pages for Kentucky and 
the person who oversees the archives for Kentucky counties. Two seperate people.

Already there have been a few who have given up their duties of both cc and archives and yet 
they never contacted the Archives Coordinator.  I had to email and email until either I gave 
up and removed their name or until they finally answered me with a "Oh I gave them up weeks 
ago". 

Whoever you contacted to take over the archives page is who you will need to contact if you 
want to give it up. And Please, do NOT just turn over your page to someone else without 
contacting us first. This is VERY IMPORTANT!!

Whoever you contacted to take over the main county page is who you will need to contact if 
you want to give it up. 

Remember, two seperate people, email each of us if you do both duties (CC & Archives).
And one last thing, it is not automatic that if you take a main county page that you will 
also get the archives for that county. Sometimes they already have an archivist who does not 
want to give it up and they can't be kicked out if they are doing the job well.
