The Hannibal Journal January 27, 1848
A duel was fought at Madison, Indiana, on the 15th inst., by Mr. Wm. Duke of 
Scott county, Ky., and Mr. Hanson of Bourbon.  The weapons were pistols; 
distance 10 paces.  On the fourth fire Mr. Hanson's thigh was broken.
