July 14, 1941 Thomps Rawlings Covington Thomps Rawlings Covington, aged 50, of 60 chestnut street, Wheatland, died suddenly Saturday evening at 9 o'clock at his home. Mr. Covington, owner and operator of the Wheatland Pennzoil service station was engaged in his usual duties at the station about 8 o'clock when he was stricken with a heart attack. He was removed to his home and a physician summoned but he lived only an hour. Mr. Covington was born in Scott county, Kentucky, on Frebruary 5, 1891, and had been a resident of Wheatland for the past 29 years where he was widely and favorably known. He was a member of the Protected Home Circle and of the Wheatland Methodist church. Survivors are his wife, Clara Jones Covington; the following children: Mrs. Florence Davis, Mrs. laverne Livingston, Lucille Covington at home, Robert and Thomas Covington, both at home; his father, J. W. Covington of Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. Braddie Griffith of Kentucky and Mrs. Eunice Cunningham, of Kentucky, and one brother, R. L. Covington of Chicago. He was preceded in death five months ago by his mother. Funeral services will be held from the late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock (E.S.T.) with his pastor, Rev. C. C. Mohney, in charge. Internment will be in Oakwood cemetery, Sharon. The body was removed from the Mahoning funeral home, West Madison avenue, to the residence Sunday evening. Additional Comments: Thomas name was mispelled in Obit. It should have been Thomas Raleigh Covington. He was born in Stamping Ground, Scott Co., KY. His Father, James W. Covington was b. c1851 and died aft. July 12. 1941. Eunice Cunningham,b. c1894, his sister, was married to Richard Cunningham,b. c1879, of Stamping Ground. Their children were 1. Mary K.
