Between Arthur Busey and Sarah Busey his wife of the county of Shelby and state of Kentucky of the one part and Sandford Ross of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Arthur Busey and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do sell and convey to him the said Sandford Ross his heirs forever a certain tract of parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid on the waters of Beech Creek and Bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at two Beeches on a branch corner to F. ___ Scotts then with the meanders of said branch S81 W 60 poles Thence S71 W39 1/2 poles then S 44 1/4 W 32 Poles. Then W 62 3/4 W 20 poles to a small oak in said branch corner to Isaac Brumley thence thence with his line N 31 E 94 Poles to a stone in a branch. Thence S 63 E102 Poles to the Beginning containing thirty acres to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to him the said Sandford Ross and his heirs forever and the Arthur Busey and Sarah his wife will warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land to him the said Sandford Ross and his heirs forever against the claim a claims of all persons whomever. In testimony wereof we the said Arthur Busey and Sarah his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and the year above written. Arthur Busey Sarah Busey Kentucky. Whitaker Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid certify that this deed from Arthur Busey and Sarah his wife to Sanford Ross was produced to me in my office on the 14th day of March 1848 and acknowledged by the said Arthur Busey to be his act and deed and on the 25th day of July 1848 the said Sarah being examined by me privately and apart from her said husband declared that she did freely and willingly send and deliver said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledges said writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and consenteth that the same may be recorded.
