Brumley to Ross

This Indenture made entered into fifth day August Eighteen Hundred and
fifty three by and between Isaac Brumley of the one part of the County
of Anderson and State of Kentucky and Sandford V. Ross of the County of
Shelby of other part Witnesseth that the Said Isaac Brumley for and in
consideration of the sum of seven Hundred and Six Dollars and twenty
five cents cash to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath this day bargained and Sold and doth by these presents
bargain sell and Convey onto the Said Sanford V. Ross to his heirs and
assigned forever a certain tract or parcel of land in the County and
Sate aforesaid on the waters of Beach Creek and bounded as follows: To
wit Beginning at a stone in Williams line S 25 W 41 poles to a stake
thence N 60 1/2 W29 poles to a stake. Thence S 20 W 80 poles to a Stake
Thence N88 E49 poles to a stake in Mrs. Scots line thence with the same
44 1/2 poles to a beech stump on a branch corner to S Ross Thence with S
Ross s original line N32 poles to a Stake corner to S Ross Thence N 8 E
93 poles to a dogwood and cedar thence N 73 W 18 poles to a Walnut and
Ash Stump in MrS. Williams line Thence S 39 W31 1/4  poles to a stone
corner to Mrs. Williams Thence N41 W 11 poles to the beginning
Containing Fifty acres one quarter and 28 poles to him the Said Ross to
have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all and
singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise pertaining
Thereto and the I Brumley together with Catharine Brumley his wife who
relinquishes her right in and to Said land bind themselves and heirs to
warrant and defend Said tract of land to him the Said Ross against the
claim or claims of themselves or heirs or any person claiming in through
or by them or in any other way whatever. In testimony whereof they have
hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seals This day and date first

I Hector A. Chinn Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid
Certify that this deed from Isaac Brumley and Catharine Brumley his wife
to Sandford V. Ross was This day produced to me in my office and
acknowledged by the Said  Isaac Brumley and Catharine Brumley to be
their act and deed. Whereupon Said deed and this Certificate hath been
duly recorded in my office.
  Given under my hand this 8th day of August 1853.
