Lena _____ Shelby County Clerk’s Office, Shelby Co., KY 1831 Land Record--Shelby County, Kentucky Deed Book Z pg. 96 B W G Easley To Deed John Ross This Indenture made this 18th day of July in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty one Between W. G Easley of Shelby County and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Ross of the said County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Woodson G Easley for and in consideration of the Sum of Eight Dollars in hand paid To the Said W. G. Easley the receipt Whereof Whereby acknowledged have granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents do Sell and Convey to the Said John Ross a certain tract or parcel of land Containing one hundred acres lying and being in the County of Shelby in the waters of Benson Creek to be the Same more or less Bounded as follows to wit Beginning At two beeches corner to A Thel Thence with his line north 1011 poles to a blue ash and hickory in Bluefords line with the Same East 136 poles to a Buckeye Beech and white oak in what is called the Branch thence S 34 1/2 West 77 1/2 poles to a beech thence S19 West 12 poles to three beeches near C__hers Corner thence with his line N72 W 100 poles to an elm walnut and ash thence N 45 E 58 poles to the beginning the land conveyed was _____ and surveyed in the means of Said Easley To Have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to him the Said John Ross and his heirs forever against the claims of the Said Woodson[?] G. Easley and his heirs forever and against the claim of all persons claiming by through is under him But not against the claim of any other persons whatever it being directly understood that the Said W. G. Easley conveyed his Interest only to Said land and is not to be responsible for the bill in any Event Whatever In February whereof the Said W. G. Easley have hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year aforesaid. Woodson G. Easley Commonwealth of Kentucky Shelby County Sct I James S. Whitaker clerk of the County Court for the county aforesaid do Certify that this deed from Woodson G. Easley To John Ross was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Woodson G.
