Watts to Ross

This Indenture made this 22 day of Oct in the year 1833 between Jacob
Watts of the one part and Lewis T. Ross  of the other part both of the
County of Shelby and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Whereforth that the
said Jacob  Watts for  and in Consideration of Six hundred and fifty
dollars and fifty cents to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and conveyed and by these
demands doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Lewis T. Ross to his
heirs and assigned that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the
county of Shelby on the waters of Beech and Benson creeks and Bounded as 
follows To wit Beginning at a stake on a small draw corner to Wm Corbin 
S 70 E 33 poles to a branch Thence with said  branch  S25 W4 1/2 poles to 
2 beeches corner in S V Ross line Thence with said line S67 1/2  E23 to 
2 breechs on a branch Thence up the same N73 1/2 E25 1/2 poles Thence 
N81 E26 poles to a beeches corner in Shouses line Thence with said line 
N27 E149 poles to a beech and small oak ___ corner to Taylor S28 W80 poles
to a stake corner on Taylor line thence a N71 W 22 poles is a stake S38 W30
poles is a stone corner to Corbin thence S24 W30 to the beginning
containing eighty two acres 1 qt 30 poles be the Same more or less
together all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging to have
and to Hold the land hereby conveyed unto the L Ross his heirs and
assigns forever and the said Watts for himself his heirs Executers and
administrates the aforesaid tract of land unto the said Ross his heirs
or assigns against  the claims or claims of all and every person or
persons whatsoever doth and warrant forever consent and defend by these
presents. In Witnessth whereof the Said Watts hath hereunto set his hand
and Seal this day and date first written

Kentucky Shelby County Court
        I Hector A. Chinn clerk of the County court for the County
aforesaid certify that this deed from Jacob Watts and Lewis T. Ross
sworn the 16 day of November 1853 produced to me in my office and
acknowledged by Jacob Walls to be his act and deed. And the tax being
paid on the 13 day of February 1854 said deed and This Certificate hath
been duly received in my office.
