KY, Pages 112b and 113 _______________________________________________________________________ (Margin Title) DIDLAKE TO NEWLAND Know all men by these presents that I Geo. B. Didlake of the city of Louisville and State of Kentucky has this day bargained and sold to Abraham Newland of the County of Shelby and state aforesaid a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Shelby and state afsd and on the waters of Brashear Creek and containing 3/4 of l acre being part of a tract of land Deeded to said Didlake by John Parker being and the same reserved by said Didlake in a deed to Wm. Barringer widow and heirs on which there is a meeting house and grave yard for the consideration of thirty dollars in hand paid by said Newland to said Didlake doth covenant to and with said Newland that he will and his heirs warrant and forever defend the title of said land against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming the same to said Newland and his heirs forever on witness whereof said Didlake has herein to set his hand and seal this 10th Day of June 1840. /s/ Geo. B. Didlake I, Duncan Pope Clerk of the County Court of Jefferson County in the State of Kentucky do hereby certify that on this day the foregoing Deed from Geo. B. Didlake to Abm. Newland was produced to me in my office and acknowledged and delivered by said Didlake to be his act and Deed under my hand this 16th Day of August 1840. /s/ Duncan Pope State of Kentucky Shelby County Sct. I James S. Whitaker Clerk of the County for said county do certify that this deed from Geo. B. Didlake to Abm.
