Dated April 28, 1925 Mrs. Zena H. Lyon, wife of D. E. Lyon of 167 Pacific Street, died Sunday. Mrs. Lyon was for 8 years a resident of Ojai and for the past two years lived in Ventura. She leaves two daughters and two sons. Remains are at Barker & McCormick mortuary and funeral arrangements will be announced later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ventura County Star Free Press, Ventura, CA. Dated April 30, 1925 Funeral Service for Mrs. Vena* Lyon Funeral services for Mrs. Vena* H. Lyon. who passed away sunday at Big Sisters hospital, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the E. C. O. clubhouse. Mrs. Caroline Warren of the Four-Square Gospel church officated with special music by Mrs. Hatcher. Burial was in charge of Barker & McCormick morticians. Deceased is survived by her husband, D. E. Lyon, and 4 children. Prior to coming to Ventura two years ago, the family resided in Ojai about 8 years. Vena* - Newspaper error, it should read Zena. Note: Zena Harcourt Lyon, dau of Harrison & Nancy "Whitt" Whittaker Terrell Lyon. Zena was born May 22, 1888 in Shelby County, KY. Her mothers parents were Henry Clay & Eliza McDonald Terrell.
