HARDENIA ADAMS was born Feburary 24, 1819 in Bedford Co., Virginia in 1831 was removed with her parents to Macon Co., Tennessee. Where she was reared, and in 1842,located in Simpson Co., Kentucky. Where she has since resided. Her father, Price Snider, a native of Virginia, and a soldier of the war of 1812. died in 1874 at the age of eighty-five years. He was the son of Henry Snider of Virginia. Price Snider was twice married; first to Mary, daughter of Stephen Holland, of Virginia he died about 1840. And their children are Permelia,(Meador),Sarah(Bryant),William, Julius,Henry,Elizabeth(Hargis),Serena(Adams),Hardenia(subject),Jordan,Judith (Hendrix),Paulina(Adkerson),Minerva(Short and Wilkerson),Charles,and Angeline (Gipson). His second wife was Sarah Lovelady. And their offspring are Cinderella (Shaw and Vance), and Martha. In 1840 Hardenia was married to Andrew J.Adams, and to them were born, Marinda J.(deceased),Mary A., Amanda S.,John P.,and William T. Adams. Andrew J. Adams was born May 2, 1820 and died in 1857. His father was John A. Adams whose children were A.J.Adams, Levi, Elijah, Sallie (Barber), Soloman, Thomas, Amaziah, and Bettie(Fuqua). Mrs. Adams is engaged in farming, having 185 acres of land in good condition. She is a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
