In Testimony whereof I have set my hand and affixed my Seal this 29th day of September 1824. (signed) Henry L. BRIDWELL to Tony, Slave , was Given By Austin EDRINGTON and Horace EDRINGTON, Two of the Subscribing witnesses thereto to be the Acts and deed of the Within named Henry L. BRIDWELL Well and truly ordered to be recorded And thereupon the within named Tony about to be Emancipated by the within writing came before the court and their view of the Said Negro TONY they took the following description of him (viz) He is Black, Forty Seven years of age, well made, 5 feet Eight and one half Inches high, has a large scar upon his head and no other particular accidental marks viz which was recorded and Certification upon the Deed of Emancipation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anne Livingston livings1@aol.com
