14 Dec 1830  John COCHRAN of the County of Spencer, State of Kentucky to Anna 
KINCHELO, Caroline STONE, Robert C. STONE and Elizabeth G. STONE of the 
County aforesaid... for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him 
in hand paid hath granted and sold a certain tract of land in Spencer Co. on 
Brashears Creek being the same tract conveyed by Edmund CURD and wife to 
George STONE by Deed bearing date 16 Dec 1807.

5 Dec 1829  Edward MILLER of the County of Spencer to Fleming MILLER of 
same... for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in 
hand paid hath granted, bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land 
containing ninety one and one half acres lying in the county of Spencer on 
the waters of Big Beech Creek including the residence of said Edward MILLER 
being part of 30,000 acre survey patented in the name of POPE, PATTON and 
THOMAS.

(did not see the amount of acreage in the above deeds although the bottom 
part of Spencer deed books are damaged and the acreage might have been there 
but unreadable.)

Know all these men by these presents that I Davis CLARKE of Spencer County, 
State of Kentucky do appoint Mark E. HUSTON my true and lawful attorney for 
me in my name to attend and manage and take all steps necessary to adjust and 
bring a speedy terminaton on a law suit between William J. CLARKE complainant 
in Chancery.
