12 March 1845  Spencer Co. Deed Book G p. 116  Jonathan COOK and Frances his 
wife, Thomas COOK and Sary his wife of Spencer Co. Kentucky of the one part and 
Benjamin WELLS of the same County and state of the other part... that for and 
in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five Dollars to them in 
hand paid have given granted bargained and sold a certaint tract of Land 
Containing twenty five acres situate lying and being in the County of Spencer 
and on the road lead in from Taylorsville to Fairfield adjoining the farm on 
which Benjamin WELLS now lives.
