MARTIN, ISAAC HOGAN and JOHN SHUMAKER being appointed by the County court of Spencer as commissioners to alot and set aside to MARY DULIN, widow of EDWARD DULIN Dec’d her Dower in and to the slaves of said decedent being first duely sworn proved 13 Jan 1830 to discharge our duty as above required we report and say to your honorable Body that the number of slaves to said Estate and their value is as follows: LOURINDA and her Child named MARY ANN worth $350.00 a boy HIRAM worth $325.00 DICK and ANDREW worth $570.00 The commissioners set aside LOURINDA as dower for MARY DULIN, widow “as being her choice” she and her child being estimated at $350 which did not amount to one third of valuation of the slaves aforesaid by $41.
